Meet our multidisciplinary team!
The engineers of the SDRT Souss Massa have joined efforts with the architects, planners, designers, and landscape architects of the Aziza Chaouni Projects team to lead fieldwork and develop the pilot projects. The presidents of the rural communes of Targua N’touchka, Boutbouqalt and Anmel facilitated the collaborative design process with local stakeholders and site users and also participated in the field research. Additionally, technicians and engineers from the Ministry of Tourism, the ONZOA, The Wilaya of Agadir, the Water and Forestry Ministry and the Agency of the Watershed of the Souss-Massa River shared resources related to the contexts of each site.
SDRT Souss Massa
The Souss Massa region has significant tourism potential, especially considering its beaches, its natural and cultural assets, and its wealth of local produce, which makes it one of the Moroccan regions that depends the most on tourism as its main economic driver. Aware of the importance of tourism in its regional economy, the Souss Massa Region has placed tourism at the heart of its Regional Development Plan (PDR). To support this goal, the Regional Tourism Development Company (SDRT) was created in 2018.

The SDRT, in addition to the implementation of the PDR, will make it possible to carry out concrete actions in partnership with various stakeholders in the tourism sector. Additionally, they will impliment effective governance for the development of the sector by involving the actors of the region and by granting the necessary financial means and decision-making resources in order to develop new tourism products. The SDRT of the Souss Massa Region is particularly keen on supporting ecotourism projects which improve the livelihood of under-priviledged communities and preserve the environment.
